The BTA/4MOT brake tester is controlled via an infrared remote and communicates with the DVSA system via the included PC, making it user-friendly and highly precise. This brake tester is DVSA-approved for MOT (two-person) testing and can accommodate both 3-wheeled and 4×4 vehicles, subject to the specifications set by the vehicle manufacturer. A proximity switch in the third roller ensures that the rollers will not operate unless a car is on the bed. The galvanised roller bed is designed to sit flush with the workshop floor and includes roller covers for safety and protection when not in operation. Moreover, the BTA/4MOT’s chassis design allows it to fit into some existing recesses used by other manufacturers, which is beneficial for test stations looking to upgrade equipment from the late 1990s. The changeover process is simple and can typically be completed in a day.
