The BTA/4ATL brake tester is designed to be user-friendly and is controlled via an infrared remote. It communicates with the DVSA system through the included PC and is DVSA-approved for ATL (one-person) testing. This brake tester can accommodate both 3-wheeled and 4×4 vehicles, provided they meet the specifications set by the vehicle manufacturer. A proximity switch in the third roller ensures that the rollers only operate when a vehicle is positioned on the bed. The galvanised roller bed is flush with the workshop floor and includes roller covers for safety and protection when not in use. Additionally, the BTA/4ATL’s chassis design allows it to fit into existing recesses used by some other manufacturers, making it an ideal option for test stations looking to upgrade equipment from the late 1990s. The changeover process is straightforward and can usually be completed within a day.
